£1 to vote for Villa player. Why?

Sorry to be negative, but am I the only one that thinks the player of the year voting system this season is a rip off? Fans used to be able to just tick a box on the official site to vote for their player of the year choice.

But now it is a text vote and that text costs £1.00

Sorry, but sod that. I think fans pay enough without this sort of rubbish, sodding hell, we’ll be told this vote is run by Richard and Judy next! It is also very difficult to pick a player of the year judging by what they’ve produced on the pitch, early season aside.

If you do want to vote that way, you have to text VILLA followed by the number of the player (as below) to 88442 (eg Thomas Sorensen you should text VILLA1 to 88442.)

There is a VIP day for two at a game of the club’s choice next season chosen randomly for all those that vote.

The deadline for entries is noon on Monday May 7.

Vital Villa will of-course be doing our end of season awards next month including the much coverted ‘best beard of the season award’. Olof Mellberg is(n’t) said to be nervous of the outcome following several shaved appearances this season. Liam Ridgewell is(n’t) said to be hopefull of picking up the award for his bum fluff attempts at gatecrashing the most (non) sort after award available to Villa players.
