25% Say Ellis Is Going Nowhere

We did a takeover poll on the site and the results are now in.

We asked if you believed a Villa takeover would ever happen!

65% said yes this season, although it has to be said, that figure went up significantly after a few upbeat reports including the story on this site repeating suggestions that the takeover might be happening as soon as the stock market opened today!

5% said a takeover would happen, but not this season, 5% said no and 25% said not a chance until Ellis passes away. The last question wasn’t asked out of disrespect, just following on from a quote Doug Ellis said a few years ago suggesting he wouldn’t leave Villa in anything other than a box. (His words, not mine).

With new quotes today saying the takeover is still not imminent, I guess the limbo of the club, the inability of the manager to compete in the transfer market and the confusion of fans and shareholders alike will just continue. Unless, of course, Doug decides to put some of his money into the tranfer funds? Nah, don’t be daft. £8million out, nowt in.
