According to reports today Rangers have been told to cough up £3.5 million if they want to land striker Luke Moore.

The 21 year old hasn’t had the best of times since his shoulder injury, and he hasn’t recaptured his form, regardless of the possible reasoning behind that.

Martin O’Neill admitted to the Evening Mail that Rangers manager Walter Smith contacted him last week about a possible move.

‘Luke is a Premier League player and that’s what he would cost in this day and age.

‘Rangers haven’t come in for Luke in terms of a bid, but Walter Smith asked me about him and that’s as far as it’s gone.

‘Is there a £3.5m price tag? Well, yes, obviously because Luke is a Premier League player and that’s what he would cost in this day and age.

‘I spoke to Walter maybe about a week ago and he hasn’t been in touch with me since.’

To be fair if we do let Moore go, it should be for more, not reasonably the same price we paid for Marlon.
