Aston Villa have only 9 points left to play for in this year’s battle in the Championship.
With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as Aston Villa find themselves heading towards the end of May, sitting in 12th place in the table on 58 points, the Play Offs are now an idle dream but so are earlier thoughts of a double relegation.
With back to back losses and no sign of performance improvement, that simply has to be the aim between now and the end of the campaign but Birmingham City up next at the weekend will be a challenge of its own.
18 points ahead of Blackburn in the relegation spots means we don’t need to look behind us, but consistency in results and far greater performances have to be the aim in the remaining matches now so confidence and a winning mentality is already the habit going into the year of 2017/18.
The winning mentality has slipped in recent times but we have to become more than a Jonathan Kodjia team.
