A Challenge To Blues Hypocrite

The Birmingham Mail fly the Blues colours as per usual.

They have blown up the comments made by our very own General Charles Krulak.

An article by Ken Montgomery, a man only too happy to totally ignore Villa fans and all the protests against Ellis over the years and ignored our (VFC and Shareholder Association) and a reporter of theirs repeated requests to meet us to discuss why he wouldn’t allow his sports section to represent the views of all parties as opposed to the Ellis only lickspittle coverage and spin. This is a paper who didn’t report on a march of over 3000 fans because it would no doubt have upset their mate Doug Ellis and the Birmingham Mail would never have wanted to comment negatively on him. So interesting as soon as something ‘anti’ Blues happens they are on their high horses?

The General thought the ticket prices were £55 when they are in fact a still totally rip off price of £45. This is meant to be a working mans game, it is no wonder some Blues fans have been priced out of attending and then they get the final insult of Sullivan moaning about them from his multi-million pound mansion.

The General said of the price, ‘If that’s so then great. Let them bring it down another £10 and it will be even better.’

It would be better, especially after David Gold had recently spurted that all clubs should reduce their prices by 20%. What a hypocrite!

Gold, quoted in the Mail said: ‘The greed in football means we preclude the people who made the game great – the fans.’

Following these comments a fan on Villa Talk asked the General to remind Gold of that comment to which GK said: ‘Not sure what Mr Gold is after other than publicity. When you get down in the mud and wrestle with a pig, the pig loves it – and you get muddy. I think I will just let him continue to talk.’

The General has defended his comments saying ‘I stand by what I said. The pig quote is an old Yankee expression. The pig is the situation not the person and was not aimed at David Gold. To get into a public debate over something like this is not the thing to do because nobody wins. I didn’t want to get into an argument about ticket prices and cause tension in the build up to our big match in November.’

So come on Gold, put your money where your considerable mouth is. £45 – 20% = £36. Man of your word or all hot air?
