says Alan Hutton posted on instagram “I am staying where I am” … he had a 12 month extension triggered through appearances made last season.
The same report says that Steve Bruce wants to bring 36-year-old Peter Crouch back to Villa Park. He`s currently at Stoke City but apparently unlikely to feature too much for them next season so might be tempted in a return to help us in our promotion push. Interesting one but .. well, really? We have Kodjia, Hogan and a by the looks of it fit and raring to go again McCormack. There is also ‘Mr Aston Villa` but I don`t really count players who only turn up for one match a season! Do we need another striker? The report says that Bruce wants to bring in a bit more experience. If Stoke City want a fee it could be a problem because Villa would have to cover the Premiership wages of our former striker.
