We have a new podcast series, we’ll try to make them a regular Wednesday broadcast, and then we can always do spin off ones at other times, if we get breaking news or interesting guests and/or talking points.
The first in this series of podcasts is out now and this one has a look back to the Brentford game, looks ahead to Manchester United in the FA Cup (and league) and a look at potential transfers.

And from that, on our youtube channel, we look at the transfer links and how serious we should take them.

I must say the quality of links, whether true or not (!), have gone up recently, which is a good thing, I know that sounds odd, but at least we are now being looked at as a serious club again, and mentioning top quality with our name, once again, isn’t ridiculous.
The recent one, that seems to be growing, is the link to former Liverpool, current Barcelona attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho . We aren’t alone in being linked, the BBC report suggests Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle United and Spurs are also interested. But the link up with Villa boss Steven Gerrard might prove tempting. He moved to Barcelona for £142m from Liverpool in January 2018, and his stats are not too shabby at all! Who knows, he could set the tone in the Villa camp, and Barcelona, with massive debts do seem to need to offload some high wages.
If this is a loan, and some reports seem to suggest it would, one would hope it would be with an option to buy.
We shall see.
