I was buzzing for this local derby v Wolverhampton Wanderers when I woke up this morning, I`m buzzing even more now having read the quotes from Steve Bruce.
He told The Birmingham Mail that he`s not going to Molineux Stadium to sit back and try to hold on for the draw.
He categorically states that there is no need to think negatively now the blend is right in the team.
He says we`ve become ‘rock solid` in defence and we have a real threat up front “so why should I change?”
Why indeed. We should be able to frighten most teams if we play attacking football. If we do that boring sitting back nonsense, then teams gain confidence against us. It rarely ends well, so play with swagger.
“We`ve got to go there and not change our approach from the last month or so. Wolves won`t change and I`m not going to change either.”
I like how he`s talking right now, maybe he`s also grown in confidence? We all know this is a massive month to follow on from the great results in September and take that form to the two local derbies and the game against Fulham.
Three more wins please Villa, lets smash this league. And yes, I am being serious. Why not? We have a quality squad. It looks like they are starting to believe in themselves, I see no reason why we shouldn`t win the league and get promotion back to the land of milk and honey.
