Hope you all are doing well, my MBA classmate and I are doing a consultancy project for Aston University with Aston Villa Football Club in regards to the impact of Social Media on fan engagement.

So I reached out! I asked for a bit more information as to what they were researching and they replied… this is all very exciting isn’t it? (Note to self, you really need to get out more mate) ((another note to self, you shouldn’t be calling yourself mate or writing notes to yourself))
The scope of our project aims to provide the framework for exploring and analyzing research surrounding customer expectations and customer service in light of the changing uses of social media, to better service fans demands for Aston Villa FC. It also aims to cover ways in which recommendations can be provided on servicing needs of customers through social media through the aid of academic references, first-hand research from the football club itself including its supporters, and other external research findings. For this purpose, we are acquiring data and feedback through surveys from fans on social media engagement with the club.
