Transfer activity two today and again, it is unfortunately an exit with the news that 31-year-old midfielder Didier Agathe has left Aston Villa after a four month stint.
Agathe made six substitute appearances during his temporary contract but evidently didn’t do enough to convince Martin O’Neill that he was worth a longer term contract.

Total cack, im sorry to say he bought absolutely nothing to the team and will not be missed in my opinion.
Six appearences as substitute say it all really. I know it looks bad but how big a loss will he be, in the bigger picture. Maybe Villa trimming the wage bill for “Incoming” Well thats what I hope anyway, we will see.
Me thinks Bardsleys arrival was the nail in the coffin. Good luck to him.
yeah, good luck to wherever he ends up, was worth a try for him and Villa but we do need to aim much higher now the transfer window is open and I am sure we are!
Cheerio, Cheerio…. wasnt good enough, i’d have taken de la Cruz over Agathe…. and thats saying something.
Oh, thought it was Petrov announcing his retirement because he has “lost his smile”…
Good luck to him, even though he failed to impress at Villa
Who? I forgot about him
FooreverHoop – id be quiet or we will sign Nakamura from you.
Good luck to him, at least he tried, which is more than some.
roll out the barrel
Its a fine balance right now between building squad numbers yet moving on the deadwood. Sadly Agathe was very much a member of the latter, and certainly didn’t do enough in his brief time at the club to suggest that he had anything to bring to the table.
Good luck to him, unfortunately Martin’s magic didn’t quite pay off with him.
Clearing the decks ready for all of the new arrivals !!!!!!
We really need to start bringing in new faces ASAP.
This plus Whitts transfer and Hendrie’s exile seems to signal one or two other midfielders on the way to us soon? SWP + Ashley Young at £10mill or Coker?
