Ha, it is the Metro show today when it comes to Villa rumours…

I quite like one of these…!

The Metro say that Villa might add another striker to the mix this January by bidding for 29-year-old Spurs striker Peter Crouch who spends a lot of time on the bench these days.

The price is said to be around £10.5 million.

Personally, I think Crouch is a great player, he is so difficult to play against and look at his England record, given the chances he takes them. So ok, yes please!

Talking about Spurs, sorry to hear about Harry Redknapp being mugged. No one deserves that and no matter what you think, he is a real football manager and a real football character and you have to admire the way he has turned Spurs around from near relegation threatened to Champions League qualifiers.

I digress…

Stephen Ireland to Newcastle? Been said before… but the Metro say they might step up the loan bid. When I say they, I mean Newcastle, The Metro aren`t going to bid for him! I wish we`d keep him and get him back to what he once was and could be again!

Liverpool have apparently upped their offer for Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam but the reported £4.5m bid has been turned down. Obviously Villa have also been strongly linked.
