Bruce told the Birmingham Mail that the work these days carries on because of mobile phones. He says although June is quiet for transfers all managers effectively have ‘mobile offices`. Adding, it means “I can sign a player from sitting in a restaurant.” He does say he doesn`t expect much business from clubs in June though maybe he`s got his eye on a few free signings? “We all switch off in June unless there`s a bosman so I would expect to be busy but how many I can`t tell you.”

The Sun have linked us to France U19s starlet Abdoulaye Sissako. Apparently the 19-year-old Auxerre midfielder was watched by Villa scouts in a tournament in Toulon last week.
gianlucadimarzio.com say that Sampdoria are interested in Villa left-back Jordan Amavi.

leads to a story from the Brum Mail saying that Villa won`t be letting players leave on the cheap this summer. With plenty of players sent out on loan last season, ones like Carles Gil and Jordan Veretout will be available but only if their valuations are met. The Mail say Veretout cost £10million while Gil arrived for £3.25m. It`s thought Villa are looking to recoup around £9million for both players. They also mention the Sampdoria link for Amavi and say that Napoli are also interested. Amavi also cost £10million back in 2015 and Villa are determined to get as much of that back as possible. What? Not £25million then?!?!
