With a hard fought victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at the weekend now behind us, Aston Villa and head coach Dean Smith are now preparing for Saturday’s difficult trip to the Etihad Stadium to face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side.
We’ve had both positives and negatives so far in the campaign of 2019/20 as we continue adjusting to life back in the Premier League, but one of the positives has certainly been how easily summer signing Bjorn Engels seems to have fitted in at the club alongside the ever-reliable Tyrone Mings.

The 25-year-old has featured nine times for us so far this season, and given his performances, it can’t be too long before he builds on his Belgian youth caps and earns himself a proper one.
Having more than played his part this year, with plenty of praise flowing after the Brighton win, and a number of fans feel he will only get better in time.
Nothing better than Engels and Mings in defense!

Been an absolute class act since joining us. Reminds me so much of the way Mellberg just seamlessly fitted in without any fuss, calm and solid at the back. Absolute snip at £8m, him & Mings are the business at the back
