“Absolute Talent” “Quite The Baller” - Summer Signing Is Winning These Villa Fans Over With Latest Video

With Aston Villa having the weekend off as we prepare for next Tuesday’s second leg EFL Cup semi-final clash with Leicester City, the club put up a short video clip of midfielder Douglas Luiz talking about a number of topics – not least how he’s adjusting to life at Villa Park following his summer arrival from Manchester City.

The interview isn’t earth-shattering and 21-year-od Luiz simply says all the right things when it comes to building on more recent results and looking for further improvement as we head towards the end of the season, and although performances have been mixed from him as he continues settling into life at the club, he’s certainly beginning to win the fans over, looking at the reaction to his comments on social media.

Wes injury clearly knocked his confidence. Luiz is already a top player and will be world class.

With three goals and two assists in his 18 starts and eight substitute showings so far, we’ve definitely glimpsed his quality, so if he can add further consistency in the middle of the park, we should definitely see more improvements as we look for a more comfortable second half of the year when it comes to results.
