Gabby Agbonlahor has this afternoon signed a new four-year deal at Aston Villa.

The England Under-21 international is now tied to Villa until June 2011.

Not bad for a 20-year-old is it? What a life!

  • Terrific news – see it’s not all doom ‘n’ gloom! We need to sign a couple of quality right wingers and play Gabby upfront. I think he’s capable of 12-15 league goals a season. Now that you’re on megabucks don’t get complacent – keep up the good work Gab! Up the Villa!

  • thanks for the loyalty gabby, goes to show that the players know whats round the corner. up the villa !!

  • I agree with moving Gabby upfront as he is never a winger in a million years and we aint seeing the talent of someone as again a manager of ours plays him out of position?

  • Aint convinced that he’ll make it as a central striker in the premiership, but I’m no expert, and Gabby has time on his side to prove me very wrong. I hope he does. He’s got a lot to learn, and needs to develop and extend his abilities. Pace will only get him so far. Good luck to him.

  • Complete & utter headless chicken.Tony Daly mark 2..!!Having watched this player probably 10 or more times, either live or on Sky,i am of the opinion that he will never be a successful forward as his finishing is exceptionally poor.He would be better utilised as a winger, however once again his final product from wide positions is far from convincing & has nothing else to offer than raw pace.Villa fans that made the Boxing Day trek to WHL will of noticed that he isnt however as quick as Ledley King..!!

  • The only good part is that he can be offloaded for some money. The sooner the better.

    He is a headless fly.

  • Excellent. Now to attach velcro to his boots in order to help him keep the ball for longer than two second.

  • MON knows that his position will be up front – he’s just waiting for him to become build up a bit more upper body strength which is what should have happened to Luke Moore.
