The club have issued the following reminder that the AGM set for this Friday has been adjourned until 30th November 2006.
The statement reads:
The circumstances surrounding the recent takeover of Aston Villa have meant a change to the arrangements for the company’s AGM, scheduled for this week.
Under normal circumstances, the meeting gives shareholders the opportunity to question PLC board members on company matters.
However, since the new board has only just been appointed, we consider it is more appropriate that the AGM is held at a later date.
Therefore, it is proposed the meeting, scheduled for 29th September, 2006, will be opened and immediately adjourned until 30th November, 2006
