Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur is the next up in the transfer rumours according to The Birmingham Mail and The Croydon Advertiser

The 29-year-old Scottish international moved to Palace from Wigan in 2014. He`s made 100 appearances but according to the Croydon Advertiser found less game time in the last half of last season.

Stoke City are also said to be interested, which in itself is interesting as obviously we`ve been linked several times to their old hand Glenn Whelan.

The Telegraph first reported that striker Jon Walters might quit Stoke City this summer. According to The Birmingham Mail Telegraph writer John Percy is now suggesting he could be Aston Villa bound. I can`t find the article or a tweet from JP personally. The Republic of Ireland international is 33. Can we really fill the team full of oldies?

One who looks on his way out is Aly Cissokho who according to Turkish The 29-year-old is apparently on his way to Goztepe.

I can`t find any official links to this but according to gossipy site The Sun have reported that Sheffield Wednesday have made a move for Alan Hutton. HITC say the report is in Today`s paper, page 51. The owls apparently hope to agree a fee and talk to Hutton today. Thoughts?

  • Never been a fan of Hutton and dont get the cult status he seems to have recently achieved. But anything on HITC is usually just click bait cobblers, so I wont be getting my hopes up.

  • With an important season coming up, I wouldn’t like to see our Scottish Cafu moving away. He plays with commitment, he plays for the shirt, not like some that can be mentioned. He’s not the greatest but you can’t complain about his effort and work rate.

  • De laet is recovering from an injury that’s kept him out forever – when will he realistically be up to speed. Bree is a child and will have different issues – inconsistency, confidence, strength (hopefully not)

Where’s the sense in selling Hutton at th

  • We need to keep Alan Hutton, Give them Micah Richards for free, get him off the wage bill.

  • Agree with all the above. If he’s to go it should be January, IF DeLaet and Bree can prove themselves… However, I’ll drive Richards to Sheffield… With all the **** that Hutton has had to endure at VP he almost deserves a testimonial!
