Alex McLeish Post Blackburn Match Reaction

Good day at Villa Park today, everything apart from the attendance looked pretty positive to me.

Alex McLeish told www.avfc.co.uk that he was proud to walk out as manager at Villa Park today.

‘We know what football is like. It’s a game that can be fickle at times. I am like any manager on the planet, I’ve got to get results. But it was great and the Villa fans were excellent.”

And on the 3-1 win (and I`m told the Gabby incident WAS a bang on penalty, my mate Reza says even Trevor Francis, co – commentating, said so!)

‘It was a good result for us with some really good moments in the game. I was very pleased with the players and getting three goals too was terrific. “

He says if they can keep things going it will be a good season, challenges lay ahead but the team is ‘up for it`.
