I think Bruce is right in this post match interview after our 2-0 loss to Fulham.
It probably always was going to be about the first goal and we so nearly got it with Bjarnason. He got through and should have done better, at least testing the keeper.
The second goal they got was from a bit of a daft error from the usually reliable Sam Johnstone and the rest is history. Fulham were in total control 2 up and despite Hogan having a half chance, we didn`t then have any answers.
He also points to the loss of Grealish and Adomah, our main attacking influences in recent weeks.
Bruce adds there is still all to play for, Fulham are a good team and a really good football side who want to play from the back. He says Tuesday (Preston North End) will pose a different sort of challenge.
A good run coming to an end but no disaster (yet). Bruce is honest and says we didn`t play well enough to beat Fulham.
And injury news:
Elmo has twisted his back and Bruce says he is very sore.
Not had any luck this season injury wise, Kodjia was a massive loss, Green has had nothing but bad luck, Grealish has struggled and now Adomah is out for a while. Feck, feck, feck!
Keep the faith @AndreGreen_ I know from bitter experience how dispiriting injuries/ops and set backs are, but keep going, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and you have a stunning career ahead of you. 😎✌️#AVFC
