Former Chelsea and England centre-half John Terry has been reflecting on another memorable night in the Claret and Blue as we booked ourselves a Championship Play-Off Final place against Fulham.

With the Cottagers taking a 2-1 victory over Derby County in their semi-final affair, we secured our passage with a 1-0 aggregate victory over Middlesbrough.
Manager Steve Bruce and fans have already given their reactions to the doubleheader in recent days and Terry also found himself in front of club media following the full-time whistle on Tuesday evening.
Hailing the ‘atmosphere’ at Villa Park as the fans helped push the side over the line to victory, our skipper told the Official Site.
#AVFC are back at Wembley, with a man who knows the place all too well.

“The atmosphere was incredible tonight – one more step to go. It was incredible tonight. The fans are superb. Their support for the lads has been unbelievable. The dressing room is superb too – an incredible team spirit among the squad. One more step and it will be the dream.”
With Terry certainly not being shy when it comes to praising his new fanbase, he’s often waxed lyrical about how we welcomed him at Villa and he is on record as confirming that if we go up this season he will definitely be with us for the next campaign.
One game to ensure that happens and Terry knows we go into a tough Final now in good spirits as Boro was certainly a test, but two clean sheets and we arguably could’ve taken a greater margin of victory, so it’s all to play for.

“The players were different class. We’re off to Wembley. There’s one more to go.”
It wasn’t just fans and his teammates that came in for praise, he also credited Bruce for getting the game plan absolutely spot on and he knew he had to figure in the credit that was being passed around.
With the role that Terry has played since arriving at B6, he was undoubtedly going to come in for some praise himself on a personal level.
We're on our way to Wembley we shall not be moved. We're on our way to Wembley we shall not be moved. Just like a team thats gonna win the play … offs. We shall not be moved ⚽️ #upthevilla
