Earlier this evening, Aston Villa confirmed that another talented youngster had left the club for their first taste of real football, and this time it was the turn of Academy graduate Tyreik Wright who has headed to Walsall for the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign.

The 19-year-old highly rated attacker has been an ever-present for Mark Delaney’s Under 23 squad this season, making eleven appearances and scoring twice at Premier League 2 level.

He has a small taste of professional football having featured for our Under 21 group in the Football League Trophy competition in late 2020, but this will be Wright’s maiden loan spell away from the club.

He heads to the Bescott to test himself at League Two level and he should certainly get game time as he can play on either wing or through the middle and he could potentially debut for them when they face Oldham Athletic on Saturday.

Good luck Tyreik, take your chance!
