Ashley Young – I’ll Play Anywhere

Ashley Young says he doesn’t mind where he is played next season, as long as he is played!

The 21-year-old former Watford man said:

‘My previous managers have always said that I’m pretty versatile and I’m happy whether I’m playing up front or on the wing. I’m capable of doing both, so it doesn’t me if I’m on the right, on the left or up front.’

Adding, on the official site: ‘As long as I’m in the team I don’t mind where I play. It’s disappointing not to get in the starting XI but you just keep your chin up and get ready to come on as and when you’re needed. That could happen in the first minute or the 90th, so you have to be prepared.’

He also says Villa have to get back playing in Europe, ‘This is a massive club, with expectations of playing in Europe. That’s where the club belong and I want to help them get there. I know the team are capable of playing in Europe and that’s what we are hoping to achieve.’
