Congratulations to Ashley Young who has been named September’s Premier League player of the month.
The 23-year-old winger, an ever present so far this season, has joined Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard as a player winning this award more than once. Young last won in April.

Meanwhile Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor scored the winner as England under-21s beat Wales 3-2 last night in the first leg of their Euro 2009 play-off.
