Aston Villa Share Form Advice

I’m getting a fair few questions with reference to the forms you have to fill in to vote in favour of the takover.

There are a couple of important points.

There is a helpline on the offer document if you aren’t sure what to do it says:

If you are in any doubt as to how to fill in this Form of Acceptance, please contact Capita Registrars by telephone on 0870 162 3121, or if calling from outside the UK +44 (0) 20 8639 2157

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU RETURN YOUR SHARE CERTIFICATE WITH THE COMPLETED FORM.

In layman terms:

1) In the box on the right hand corner (box 1) enter how many of your shares you wish to sell.

And again, if you are worried about losing your share certificate, don’t be, you will get it back embossed with a crest or wording on it so you’ll have a bit of Villa history to keep. So for those asking me if it is worth keeping just one share for prosperity, my personal opinion for my own form and sale was that it wasn’t worth it).

2) Sign the form. Have the signature witness (name, signature, address)

The other boxes are for if your details are wrong (3), for overseas shareholders (4), alternative address (5) which are self explanatory if you read the instructions.

Main thing is to take the time to fill in 1 and 2 AND send it with your share certificate. Without the certificate, they will have to get back in contact.

NB: As said, there is a helpline, I’m not a share advisor, they are!
