Villa stuck with Jordan Amavi?

This looks a bit embarrassing for the player if true. There are reports in Spain, according to The Birmingham Mail claiming that the Amavi to Sevilla move is off.

Darn! He`s not actually very good is he? Was a good one to get off the books I thought.

The clubs have agreed a rumoured £8million fee but the Brum Mail, quoting Diario de Sevilla, say the transfer has been called off after they “closely examined Amavi during the routine tests over the weekend.”

No details on the problem but one would assume it is to do with the cruciate knee injury he picked up shortly after moving to us, which led to a 9 month lay off.

I guess all we can hope now is that another club comes in for him OR with a full pre-season he will improve for us next season after some very slack performances last season.
