Well, here we go, March has only just started and already we have transfer gossip, not much of it particulary good either! lol

First off we have the report from The People saying that John Carew is unsettled: John Carew Looking To Exit Villa Park?

Then, oh no, how will we survive? Villa’s Senegal International full back Habib Beye might quit Villa due to the lack of first team action.

Damn, time to shut up shop surely!? (Ok, bitchy mode turned off…!)

According to Vital Newcastle their former player might be interested in a return to the Toon. Not sure the Toon Army would be that keen on someone who jumped ship returning though!?

Sunderland were also interested in him last summer and this January.

32-year-old Beye told the Daily Star:

‘Things are not going too well for me at Villa. I have only played in 10 games in all competitions. This is the first time in 12 years I’ve had a season like this and it is not easy for me to put up with.’ Adding ‘If I can’t express myself as a footballer with Aston Villa, it will be elsewhere. It is the manager’s choice. You have to respect his decisions even if you don’t accept them as he is the sole captain of the ship.’

Hmmm, interesting comment when asked if he’d consider a return to France: ‘French clubs don’t punch at the same weight as English ones when it comes to salaries. Returning to France would be complicated for me. The wages in England are twice as high and I can’t see a French club investing that much money in a player. I’d consider an interesting challenge in France, but the salary is the problem.’

Meanwhile, www.skysports.com have an article saying ex Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb won’t be making any decisions on his future until after the World Cup.

Must admit, I think those hoping for quick signings this summer might be disappointed, the World Cup will hold up the whole affair for sure, then some players prices will rise so high that they’ll be priced out!

The Belarus player is currently on loan at Stuttgart after failing to make an impact at Barcelona.

The player has been linked to both Aston Villa and Manchester City but his agent says

‘Barcelona have decided to bring the player back to Spain at the end of the season. He still has two years left on his Barcelona contract. After the World Cup we’ll decide his future with the club.’

Finally, James Nursey at The Mirror has a report the other day linking us, along with Sunderland and Blackburn, to Wolves 27-year-old captain Karl Henry if they go down.
