The video in this tweet says it all really. Great initiative and nice to see young Villa fan Moin Younis saying how much the recognition and awards have changed his life.

www.avfc.co.uk communicated more on these scheme:

As part of the club`s Supporting Our Own initiative, the Aston Villa Foundation are seeking nominations for ‘Community Most Valuable Players`.

The Community MVP programme offers you the chance to nominate your community champions – the unsung heroes from all walks of life who make a positive contribution to their local community and inspire others.

These may be sports volunteers, youth workers, ambassadors, fundraisers – the people who work tirelessly for the benefit of others, or people who battle difficult personal circumstances.
There are no set categories, just special people of any age who you think deserve a special recognition.

Winners of the Aston Villa Community MVP scheme will be invited to attend the Aston Villa versus Burton Albion match on Saturday 3rd February in the hospitality lounges as guests of the Aston Villa Foundation, and they will also be put forward at the forthcoming Pride of Birmingham Awards.

Last year, Aston Villa super fan Moin Younis won the Pride of Birmingham Awards and went on to win the Teenager of Courage at the Pride of Britain Awards in November.

As you`ll have no doubt read before from me, I love how the Aston Villa Foundation are building into something very worthy. I think they delivering something we can all be really proud of.

You can still donate to my fundraising up until the 15th of January as well: https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/thefear
