Just a few snippets today in regards to transfers.

Brett Holman has said he might need to leave. Understandable I think as he isn`t a regular under the new manager and he doesn`t want to just sit in the bench (always like players who want to play as opposed to thinking just of their wages).

The 29-year-old midfielder told Sportal.com

‘Considering what happens after Tuesday night {Australia could qualify for the World Cup} and, obviously if we get a win, I’ll have to look at the best place where I’ll play football.”

Adding, ‘I have to be playing to be fit. If that’s at Villa then so be it, if not, then so be it as well. I’ve still got two more years at Villa, so it’s not as if I’m in a panic situation where I’m looking for a club and I’m desperately looking to get out. We’ll just see what happens next season.’

The Mirror say that Newcastle only want to pay a ‘nominal` fee for Darren Bent and the player will have to lower his £75k a week wage demands.

Why on both counts? Why should we sell for a nominal fee? Makes no sense to me, he`s only 29years old and is a proven goalscorer.

Nice few quotes from Villa newboy Jores Okore in Sporten.dk, a regular read in the Fear household!

‘I have a good feeling it was the right decision to turn down Chelsea.” Adding, ‘I feel that I have arrived at a club that believes in me. The manager has said all the right things and that has caught my attention. This is going to be good.’

Also seems that Denmark captain Daniel Agger told Okore he was good enough for the Premiership. ‘I have talked to him a little bit about the Premier League and how tough it is to play but he thinks I’ve got the skill set for making it in this league. I do too so that is the only thing on my mind. I am really looking forward to playing and getting this going and getting the fans inside to see me.’

An excited player. Lovely to read.
