The papers are a bit stuck on the James Milner transfer rumour at the moment, the price is alarmingly going up and down by the day though!

The Daily Star today claim that Manchester City will bid a final £27million in a take-it-or-leave it attempt to get the England midflielder.

Yesterday ( Sunday’s Villa Transfer Talk + WOW Player Required ) it was £25million and a few days before it was £30million. What is the lad doing in training at the World Cup for his price to be so up and down!?!?

The report says that Villa will hold out for £30million for James and although Roberto Mancini wants the midfielder, the club’s owners don’t want to be held to ransom.

Nothing to do with being held to ransom is it? You set a price that you want, people either spend that and get the player or they move on. Simples…!

Other than that, I can’t see anything other than repeated links to or from Villa.

Updated: The Sunday Mirror had a report suggesting that Sunderland boss Steve Bruce would bid £3million for Luke Young. Also in other papers including the Metro as YJ says in the article comments below!
