  • Collins linked to West Ham and Snodgrass has gone to Norwich, so gladly that link wasn’t right!

  • This Aaron Cresswell hs the potential to be the next Bale from all the articles ive found about him, £. million would be a steal for a hot prospect as Wayne Bridge cost Chelski £6 million many years ago when he was a prospect left back and BALE COST OVER £10 MILLION, Lambert is a god send he really knows how to scout the lower leagues for prospects and is not frightend of giving players a chance who will be hingry and willing to fight for a chance to be at Villa and be proud to wear the Claret and Blue jersey thats all i ever wanted back pride thanks Lambert UTV!

  • James Nursey ‏@JamesNursey
Oh, and the other #AVFC goss, is forget any chat of Villa signing Danny Simpson from #NUFC. It’s rubbish. Lowton will be Villa’s right back

  • I do like the idea of signing players from the Dutch league……total (one-touch) football here we come….

  • My feelings are the same as many other Villans on signing players like Rose from Spuds getting them fit playing well and then they return back a better player for them or value increased, nah not for me would rather we sign players with a permanent deal at the end of the loan especially from teams like Spuds and other prem teams, now if as a player from ,Madrid or Milan etc i would not mind just a loan 😉

  • Clive, have to agree there. Maybe a loan to buy but otherwise would rather us not loan unless injury struck.

  • Shane Long is a good player no doubt but the Baggies would demand at least £10milion for him so not for thatprice as they paid £6million for him, Rhodes Cresswell would be good young prospects i also like Zaha from palace on sky bet we are in the top three odds on teams to sign Zaha? Pride if Lambertgets anything for Hutton Collins and Warnock he as many have said is a geneius ) UTV!

  • Cheers Clive – Long would suit us no end – except the price. Agreed on Cresswell and Rhodes. Gotta check out Zaha to be honest.

  • Er, just checked youtube….Zaha looks BLOODY ACE!!! We need to snap that guy up…powerful, fast, courageous and likes to hit the back of the net….him or Rhodes though?

  • Agree Rhodes is the goal poacher type better finisher but Zaha i feel could be some player as he can play out wide on either flank also, and if Lambert is adopting a 4132 formation he could be fitted into that easily wie or up top, i would luv to see them both signed lol

  • I don’t think itll happen. Lambert seems to be going for players ready to build their big reputations…a tad left field this one.

  • Yeah Pride just read the Aruna Kone link on the Express n Star site, from the bits ive watched of him on sky in the spanish league he is a quick striker who knows where the goal is, i rate him!

  • Totally random request, but maybe you Villans can help. Anybody heard of an Aston Villa scout by the name of Justin Palmer? Many thanks in advance.

  • Seriously though, KJ…was on fire a few years ago but now may be the youngest journeyman in the EPL…not sure he has the desire to come to the Villa or whether his move would be for the right reasons either…we must be the top wage paying upper middle achievers in the EPL and for this reason we attract ‘nearly men’ and mercenaries and only PLs steady hand and good eye will stop us throwing stupid oney at players like Pires and the like! BIG gamble on a player that HAD potential.

  • ‘Yaload’ ??? Is that Jamaican patois, kb, or have I been living on Planet Zog? Would love to see Bolt in B6. He said he loves Brum. The Villa are bigger and better than Manure who are one of the worlds most indebted sports sides now, btw. It’s going to be vicarious paradise watching the post-Fergie meltdown there. It might even happen sooner.

  • VWRA: try swapping bolt and yaload around…just a joke. 🙂 what do you think of Shane Long – he’s not a name but has better rep than lots of ‘names’. He could step up and do a Dempsey – noone would have signed him years ago.

  • Long might be worth a shout, kb. Villa might soon be calling themselves ‘Birmingham Irish’, though. I have a lot of time for the Baggies — family reasons — but not sure about Long. Then again Villa have to be realistic about who they can persuade to come to VP. Long has youth on his side and can’t be any worse than GA11. Wasn’t really familiar with him until now. Agree with your earlier comments about wages. Too many player at the Villa recently — Pires, as you cited, for one — have been mercenary types. PL seems too astute to let that continue. Think RL has seen the light too.

  • The thing that impresses me about PL is he diesn’t go for money he goes for quality – a tad like Wenger – refreshing change to MoN who frittered it away and taught RL one hell of a lesson in how not to give a kid your wallet in a sweetshop.

  • Ibwas being clever and not so witty and not so clever, here’s the explanation: I rearranged Bolt and Ya and Load….:-)

  • Any news on Cresswell of Ipswich or was that just a rumour, be a good replacement for Warnock? Vlaar to replace Collins, Clark to step up and replace Dunny and Lichaj to complete a whole new defence.
