Bakke For Good?

Eirik Bakke has said he would love to stay at Aston Villa but only if the loan move becomes permanent.

The midfielder is on loan until the end of January from Leeds. It appears that he doesn’t want to extend that loan deal unless there is a chance of a permanent move.

He said: ‘Aston Villa has been perfect for me. A new environment and a fitness coach I have had before at Leeds, I haven’t felt more fit in many years and the form gets better every match. It’s two hours from Leeds to Birmingham, at least four days a week, I sit more than four hours in the car since my family live in Leeds. I don’t want to do that any more.’

Bakke has managed to force his way into the team in recent games due to injuries although – whether because of injury or tactics – he certainly didn’t look particularly amused coming off against the Baggies on Monday.

Why not have your say, answer our poll, do you want Bakke for good?!
