Barry Bannan has said that Ashley Young was a huge inspiration to him last season, and he’s going to keep plugging away to take his chance.
Speaking to the Sunday People the wee Bannanaman said.
‘When I was getting frustrated Ash sang my praises and told me to keep going, because it happened to him at Watford. Ash had a knockback and look where he is now.’
Bannan’s targets for this season are obvious to all.
‘I’m just trying to look positively at this season, hopefully I’ll be a main fixture in the team. It’s a fresh start for everyone, you’ve got chances to impress again and every chance I get I’m going to take.’
