Milan Baros might take a ‘big risk’ and face Italy for the Czech Republic’s final group game on Thursday.

The Villa striker, who has been unable to feature so far after sustaining an injury to his foot, told the official site:

‘I feel I must help the team. But if it was not the World Cup finals, I would probably give it up. I have special socks in my boots which expand the weight on my whole foot. I still have the blood clot and my movement is not 100 percent. If I want to accelerate I still feel it. If I play against Italy it will be under painkillers. However, it has no impact if I play with the ball so I can train at least. It is not easy but that’s football.’

Baros had previously said that he wouldn’t risk his health with pain killing injections.

Baros added ‘Unfortunately it has happened to me at the most unfitting of times at the World Cup.’
