Blimey the last few weeks have been boring news and transfer wise!

I can`t keep talking about the press reports, that to be fair aren`t adding anything, linking Darren Bent to Fulham and Newcastle!

In other news, Darren Bent…. OOoooooh shut up, I`ve got to type something this morning…!…. might end up in the wilderness according to The Mirror because Fulham haven`t met Villa`s valuation.

I`m at a loss, unless all these reports are untrue, how we can put a player in exile, to train with the kids and make it clear he isn`t in the managers plans (which isn`t a dig at the manager, it is just fact, the manager doesn`t rate/want/see a place for him in his team) then expect a decent price for the 29-year-old.

The paper suggests we`ll keep him, albeit not play him, if no one bids £6million. Harsh times for Bent.

The report also says that Newcastle are no longer interested as they have bought Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis.

Mat Kendrick of The Birmingham Mail says that Enda Stevens is also not in Paul Lambert`s plans and hasn`t gone on the pre-season friendly to Shamrock Rovers.

His name has been circulated to Championship and lower division Clubs. Yeovil apparently made a tentative enquiry.

No links in.

What worries me is we have Bent, Hutton, Bannan, Given, Ireland and Delfouneso all no longer in the managers plans. Plus Stevens, plus the six who have left already. We`ve then brought in seven.

Are we therefore in better shape yet?
