Bent Suffers Injury To Problematic Ankle.

Looks like Darren Bent has picked up a similar injury to the one that kept him out for a good period last season.

Paul Lambert explained to the press that Bent hurt his ankle in training on Friday.

The Villa boss confirmed it is the same ankle that he struggled with last season.

‘Darren hurt his ankle on Friday in training. It is the same ankle he hurt against Wigan. I know it was serious then. Is it serious? I don’t know yet. He will get treatment on it during the week and we will see.”

And as if that isn`t enough, Eric Lichaj picked up a groin injury. Ok, we have cover don`t we? Well, not necessarily, the report says that Joe Bennett might also miss out as he aggravated a knee problem against Sunderland!

“Eric has picked up a strain and Joe’s wound keeps opening up at the moment so we will have to try to patch the both of them up.”
