One season and Christian Benteke has handed in a transfer request because he wants to play at a bigger club.

His request has been confirmed by head of media Brian Doogan.

villa have confirmed that Benteke has not travelled with the rest of the squad to Germany.
Brian Doogan on twitter has said:
