WAHEY (copyright John Creswell) Wilfred Bouma made a successful 90 minute comeback for the reserves last week.

The Dutch left-back, out now for 14 months following an awful ankle dislocation, told the official site that the last time he managed 90 minutes was 6 months back but he then suffered a set back from his recovery adding:

‘Then I had to go back for another operation. I’m just glad to be back out there playing 90 minutes without any pain on the ankle. It’s now just getting into it again. I feel everything is coming back which is a wonderful feeling. You think because you suffered such a horrible injury you will have some discomfort but before it was more than discomfort. You can cope with that but not with pain.’

Adding, ‘It looks really well now so I feel very positive.’

He does admit that he still can’t risk rushing things but he is aiming to give MON some selection headaches soon.
