Freddy Bouma will return to action next Monday for the reserves after suffering a minor hiccup as he was due to play in the Arsenal match.

After dislocating his ankle in our Intertwobob match against Odense last July, Freddy was due to return in the second strings match against Arsenal but he suffered a slight setback during training and was immediately withdrawn from the game for reasons of safety.

Freddy has again been resting and working hard at Bodymoor and the physios are confident he will be ok for a return to action on Monday against Chelsea.

Speaking to the press, O’Neill said:

‘Bouma should play in the next reserve game, he should have played last week but felt a bit sore on the day of the game.’

O’Neill also confirmed that Bouma will not be travelling with the boys to Moscow, but will instead continue working on his own personal training plan at Bodymoor Heath to increase his fitness with the aim of him being in contention properly for the first team long before the season ends.
