Villa boss Martin O’Neill hasn’t particularly been quick to praise the new strikers in any massive way, but has now obviously seen he has something really special on his hands.
‘I thought he was absolutely brilliant. He was a handful all afternoon; he has been a handful for the opposition every single time he has played.
‘He can play it, he can get it down, he can control it and he made a wonderful chance for himself at the end which forced a great save by Antti Niemi.’
Carew has been an absolute pain in the arse to the Premiership so far, not quite Didier Drogba yet but it’s fairly obvious as to why Juan Pablo Angel can’t get a look in at the moment.
