With Aston Villa booking their place at Wembley with a 1-0 aggregate victory over Middlesbrough this past week at the Championship Play-Off semi-final stage, we are now set to meet with Fulham at Wembley Stadium on May 26.
🍾CONGRATULATIONS🎉

The Craven Cottagers came through their own two-legged semi-final against Derby County with a 2-1 aggregate score and fans know exactly how tough a test they will be in the next round based on their form this year where they got closer to nicking the last automatic spot than we did.
It’s a Final though and anything can happen and we are one big performance away from a return to the Premier League in 2018/19.

Manager Steve Bruce was rightly delighted as he spoke to the Official Site following the full time whistle.
“I’m delighted for everyone associated with the club – those who work for it and support it. Especially the latter, they make this a big club. They deserve it, and now we have to win. Can we overcome Fulham in the final now? If we do, it’ll be a fantastic end to the season.”

Bruce rightly again had praise for the fans as he knew it was a ‘bit nervy, a bit tense’ but with what was riding on the game that was always going to be the case. Over the two legs, we were the better side, both defensively and offensively, so victory was thoroughly deserved even if it was by the narrowest of margins.
So, on to Fulham now, and as Bruce states clearly.
“They’re a very good side. We know what to expect.”
Bruce, the backroom staff and the players have reason to be delighted themselves, but fans were relishing their Wembley trip now.
Just winning the game will be good enough fir me.
