With the great on going good form for Robert Snodgrass, Steve Bruce has waxed lyrical about the player.

Currently on loan from West Ham, Bruce has said his quality as a Premiership player has shone through.

Talking in his pre-match press conference he said:

‘He`s well-liked and understands he`s the crowd favourite. We respect what he does here at the training ground. It`s never easy when you`re on loan and you have a family and you`re up and down the country like he is. He`s enjoying his football.”

And blimey does it look like it!? What I like about him is (not that anyone asked to be fair and sorry for interrupting Bruce!) he does the scruffy stuff well, he gets stuck in, he doesn`t shy away from challenges but also, he`ll shoot from anywhere and his goals have come from some very tight angles.

Where was Bruce before I chirped in?

Oh yes, still waxing lyrical, he added, “That`s the most important thing for Snoddy and you can tell when he`s enjoying his football. The reason we bought him was that ability from set-pieces or creating chances for us.”

And quite rightly finished with “He`s been a fantastic acquisition.

Seen a few fans who are blind to what he brings to the team, but most seem chuffed with him. Just got to hope we can get promoted and can sign him on a permanent deal. David Moyes wanted him back at West Ham but Snoddy was insulted by the twerp owner David Sullivan having a go at the player when he came here on loan, saying his kids begged him not to sign him, would he really want to go back there?

Won a few man of the match votes for Vital as well:

Villa away v Burton Albion: Snodgrass 34%
Villa home v Bolton Wanderers: Snodgrass 43%
Villa away v Nottingham Forest: Snodgrass 47%
