Following on from another pointless international break, Aston Villa were given the opportunity to find out whether that helped or hindered our form following the fantastic victory over Liverpool and Sunday evening saw us head to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City.
Three wins from three in the league, and we at least knew Jack Grealish would be fresh.
Erm, okay, it was an incredibly slow and sloppy start from us, although start is the wrong word there, as it lasted most of the half before we slightly woke up. The less said about the performance of the referee is for the better here, as that would simply excuse how bad we were (however, he was definitely a ……).
The way we ended the opening 45 minutes did give hope though as if that was the best Leicester could do, well, we know we can do a lot better and despite Martinez not being tested by their efforts on target – we hadn’t had an effort on target yet.
Second half here we go.
More of the same, but we were more awake. Good chances, Leicester had little other than more deliberate thuggish fouls and again Moss gained more weight by his lack of professionalism. They also should’ve been down to ten men late on but I guess the ref couldn’t keep up with play as he presumed a yellow suited a deliberate and wilful professional foul on Ollie Watkins.
I used to like Leicester from their fantastic two seasons a few years back – I can’t support a dirty bunch of…
Justice would see us score off the testicles of the referee (and it would hurt!).
Although that didn’t happen, Ross Barkley did. 1-0.
Stuff that up your home ground.
Breathe…12 out of 12 and the only club with a 100% record (and we have a game in hand).
Breathe…I need a lie down.

Enjoy the lie down Mike , I will agree we started slow but we were also patient and ground out the one clear opportunity for the winner .
Even Ross breathlessly said the same ( as he was unable to train for over a week ) until we flipped the midfield and continued to pressure them .
Lets keep this rolling Villa .
COME ON YOU LIONS
Nights like that make football! lol
