Fabian Delph has sung the praises of Alex McLeish after completing back to back games in our victory over Blackburn.
Speaking to Sky Sports our young midfielder explained his training regime and said of our new gaffer.
‘After sitting down and speaking with the manager, he’s confident in me and I’m very happy with him. The gaffer has been unbelievable, we’re limited my training and focused on building muscle in other areas of my body. It seems to be working, I don’t seem to be losing fitness, so it’s great management from him. As far as I see it, my injuries are behind me and my focus is to push on and do well for the manager and chairman, as they have for me.’
Great words from the Delphinator, and it so good to see him putting in proper performances where all we had before were flashes.
Fingers crossed the new training regime will work properly for him, there’s a player in there for definite, we’ve just got to keep him fit and let him develop as most think he will.
