Helloooo, helloooo, its good to be back, its good to be back!

Gary Cahill, slayer of all things blue, made a welcome return from injury and played the full 90 minutes against West Ham reserves.

Cahill, who has been out since injuring his knee in pre-season, told the official site:

‘I was just really happy to come through it. There were a couple of occasions when I was breathing heavily, but that’s to be expected. Other than that, it went well. It wasn’t a bad game for a defender to return in. Carlton Cole and Marlon Harewood have caused all sorts of problems in the Premiership, so there was no chance of an easy comeback. That was good for me and I though I did OK. I’ve been out for a few weeks and it has been frustrating, but I’m on my way back now and that’s all that matters.’

Adding positively: ‘There doesn’t seem to have been any reaction and now I’ve got a lot more hard work to come on the training ground if I want to get back in the team.’

Just need to see Mark Delaney back in contention now, he’s been missed.
