With Aston Villa continuing their pre-season preparations over in the United States, it was Jack Grealish’s turn to be in front of the media team on Wednesday.
We all know how quickly Jack matured last season and the impact he had on our run to Play-Off promotion when he returned from injury, and head coach Dean Smith pulled a blinder when he handed him the skipper’s armband and this recent interview just shows have mature the 23-year-old has now become.

Having been involved in the first team during our more lean years, Grealish admitted himself that he probably took Premier League football for granted previously, but with our Championship battles in recent season’s, that’s not a mistake he intends to make. He wants to take the Premier League by storm and earn himself that England call up.
Fans were certainly delighted with his words and it’s a big year for Jack as well as the club, but the spirit and optimism couldn’t be better at the moment. We’ll take our knocks, and we’ll have our bad day’s, but it feels like we could have an interesting 12 months ahead of us.
