Aston Villa held their annual End of Season Awards bash last night at Villa Park and fans are pretty much on board with the final winners for the campaign.

The end of April always seems a strange time to start the celebrations when there are games left in the campaign and for us of course, the season goes on a little bit longer owing to the Play-Offs.
In terms of ‘Player of the Year’ gongs, with a handful of matches left it’s unlikely anyone would suddenly storm themselves into contention for those categories but if anyone hits an absolute peach of a goal now they might not get the recognition they deserve.
It is what it is though.
Seven awards were handed out yesterday evening by Jim White and here’s where they went.
- Players’ Player of the Season – Albert Adomah
- Supporters’ Player of the Season – James Chester
- Goal of the Season – Jack Grealish (Cardiff – Villa Park)
- Young Player of the Season – Keinan Davis
- Academy Player of the Season – Callum O’Hare
- #PartOfThePride – John Flanner
- Special Contribution – Guy Rippon
Difficult to disagree with those awards choices really. All are worthy winners and well deserved and I think largely the right players have been acknowledged but there will be a couple who could’ve easily seen their own names in lights given their contributions this season.
Well done James! Proud of you ❤️?

Brilliant. When Kodjia 're injured his ankle a lot of fans worried where goals were going to come from. Albert moved from right wing to left and never looked back. Been superb this season.

Either this or Conor's goal against the Blues would have been worthy winners. Just so glad I was there to witness them both
