“Can’t Stand Him” “Pains Me To Say It” – There’s Only One Answer To This Particular Villa Question Isn’t There

|

A number of Aston Villa fans have been discussing the best winger we’ve had at the club over the last decade on social media and rather unsurprisingly, the popular pick seems to be now Manchester United player Ashley Young.

Birmingham Mail journalist Matt Kendrick posed the question on his Twitter account the other day as he sought opinions, and aside from the almost obligatory references to Yannick Bolasie and Aleksander Tonev, in many ways, the former England winger is the go-to answer given the dearth of quality names available.

Marc Albrighton and Stewart Downing are genuinely the only other two viable options off the top of my head, but without doubt, I’ll have forgotten at least one potential option – or at least I hope I have as otherwise that’s even more pathetic than I imagined if those are the three real choices.

Some may throw Albert Adomah and Robert Snodgrass into the equation – but not for me given the period.

Other positions are available on Kendrick’s feed as well if you want to partake.
