Dr Tony Xia will be pleased, Aston Villa can expect another quick cash injection in August following the news that Sky Sports have again selected us for the live television treatment.
????⚽️ Our home clash with @BrentfordFC has been put back 24 hours to Wednesday 22nd August, with a 7.45pm kick-off

We get the full home wonga deal and not the paltry away fee as the game selected for screening is the Villa Park clash with Brentford.
The match was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 21 but it now moves back 24 hours to Wednesday, August 22 and will carry a kick-off time of 7.45pm.
With this clearly being a bonus for the club given our current financial position and plight, fans have been inventive in their response to seeing a fixture date change once again. In fairness we are now used to it in football and at least Tuesday to Wednesday isn’t as much of an inconvenience as Saturday to Monday for example – some fans have been left to wonder when Sky will announce our own Sports Channel given how often we feature.
Others focused in on we never do that well performance wise on TV.
When’s sky villa channel being announced
