A hard hitting report by Martin Swain in the Express & Star today claims that David O’Leary and Glenn Hoddle have received an embarrassing thumbs down by the fans of Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The survey conducted by our friends a the Football Fans Census showed all four bosses of Midlands clubs have some way to go to convince the fans they are worthy of their backing!

The FFC has more than 100,000 fans registered and conducted the E&S survey by canvassing the views of 1,119 supporters covering Villa, Blues, Albion, Wolves and Walsall. They are a great company and well worth your support, you can see their website at: footballfanscensus.co.uk

86 per cent of Villa fans voted David O’Leary’s in the categories ‘bad’ or ‘very bad’ categories. (Hoddle was 82%)

Doug Ellis was subject to a similar vote and he received 95% in the categories ‘unhappy’ or ‘very unhappy’. Now there is a shock. So a 95% unpopular chairman has given an 86% unpopular manager the vote of confidence and his full backing. Says it all really.
