Aston Villa have confirmed the full 6000 allocation of tickets for next Wednesday’s Carling Cup clash at Stamford Bridge have sold out.

Not only did Villa take its full allocation but also announced free coach travel to Stamford Bridge thanks to Randy Lerner. It took just over 48 hours for the tickets to be sold and according to the official site 75% of the claret and blue army took up the offer of free travel as well. There will be over 80 coaches in convey, watch out London, the Villans are coming!

Nicola Keye, Head of Consumer Sales, said: ‘The response has been overwhelming and there’ll be a tremendous following down in London to support the team. Supporters have been queuing non-stop and some were even here at 2am on Monday morning to make sure they got their tickets! The ‘feel good’ factor has been amazing and the fact we’ve sold out in such a short time means this initiative will benefit everyone.’

Parking at Villa

There will be free car parking on the Events Centre car park in Aston Hall Road. Vehicles should enter the car park from Aston Hall Road. Pedestrians can leave the car park via the rear gates. Parking will NOT be allowed on any of the Villa Park car parks.

Coaches at Villa

The coaches will load on the car park opposite the Villa Park gates in Witton Lane and along the length of Witton Lane. All coaches will be numbered. The coach park will contain coaches one to 30; the remainder of coaches will be in Witton Lane. The coaches will depart at 2.30pm.

Arrival and Departure

On arrival in London, coaches one to 40 will park under police directions in Imperial Road. The remainder of the coaches will park at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre in Earls Court Road. Both these locations are less than a mile from the ground. The coaches will not drop off or collect passengers from anywhere but these locations, although separate arrangements will be made for those coaches carrying supporters with impaired mobility. Maps of the area showing routes to Stamford Bridge will be available on ALL coaches.
